The Peace Monument was officially unveiled on May 25th, 2010 at the International Poster Center in New York City. This presentation was sponsored by the International Poster Center, ACA Galleries and the Temple of Understanding. On this day, the campaign to promote this project and raise funds was launched.
At present, we are raising funds for the project through the sale of a limited edition, signed poster of a rendering by Jan Sawka of the Peace Monument, which has been printed through the generosity of Posters Please. The poster can be sent to any location. Buying it and displaying it is a show of support for the cause embodied by this Monument. Potentially, you will also own a piece of history. As a piece of poster art, Jan Sawka′s posters are already considered a part of graphic design history, several being in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and many other major museums.
Poster sales are not tax-deductible, as it is being sold at its retail value.
Limited edition (250 lithographs)
A donation of any amount will help achieve our goal of building the Peace Monument. The Peace Monument is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions in behalf of the Peace Monument may be made payable to Fractured Atlas and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Donations can be made securely online using a credit card.
